Information I collect

I collect information that you choose to send through this website, including your name, email address, message subject, and message body when you use the contact form.

If you submit a score to a public game leaderboard, I collect the player name you provide and the score associated with that submission.

This site also collects limited technical and usage information automatically through hosting and analytics tools, such as IP-derived request data, browser or device information, page visits, performance data, and similar server or diagnostic information.

For the Lingo leaderboard, the server currently stores request IP and geo data alongside the submitted score to help operate and moderate the feature.

Some game features store local progress or high-score values in your browser using local storage so the experience works between visits.

How I use information

I use contact form details to review, respond to, and manage incoming inquiries.

I use leaderboard submissions to display public high scores and maintain game-related features.

I use technical, analytics, and performance information to keep the site available, diagnose problems, understand usage, and improve reliability and performance.

I do not sell personal information collected through this website.

When information is shared

This site relies on third-party service providers to operate. That includes Vercel for hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring, Resend for contact-form email delivery, and MongoDB-backed storage for game leaderboard data.

Information is shared with those providers only as needed to run the site and provide the requested feature.

Public leaderboard entries are visible to other visitors, so you should not submit a name that includes sensitive personal information.

Retention

Contact requests may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, follow up, maintain records of communication, or satisfy legal or operational requirements.

Leaderboard submissions may be retained until they are removed, replaced, moderated, or no longer needed for the feature.

Browser-stored local data remains on your device until you clear it through your browser settings.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can choose not to submit the contact form or leaderboard form if you do not want that information processed.

You can clear local storage data at any time from your browser settings.

To request deletion of personal data associated with this site, follow the instructions on the User Data Deletion Instructions page at /data-deletion, or email hello@moimac.rocks with the subject line 'Data Deletion Request' and enough detail to identify the record.

Deletion requests are reviewed and processed within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal, security, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping obligations.

Security

I use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information processed through this website, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's privacy

This website is not intended for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site.

Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I will update the last updated date on this page.
